"The Wader", Entwistle Reservoir
I am not a fan of modern public art, particularly in wild places. I do like this work however. It is very appropriate to the setting. The photograph was taken on a bitterly cold, snowy and misty morning.
Turton and Entwistle Reservoir was constructed in 1832 and the perimeter is a popular walk. Below the reservoir is Wayoh Reservoir and I have fond memories of staying with my grandmother at Horrocks Fold, Edgworth close to the Wayoh. Both reservoirs feed Bolton.
